How to backup ps2 games

I’ve got two pet peeves and they’re totally unrelated.  The first is when my girlfriend drinks the last cup of coffee and doesn’t make another pot.  The second is when my brothers come over and leave my PS2 games laying out all over the place.  Thankfully, I make backup PS2 games, and we’ll get to that.

Have you ever bought a video game and left it out of the case over and over again?  My guess is probably not.  If you spent your hard earned money for the game, it’s probably a pretty good bet that you take good care of it right?

My brothers on the other hand.  Not the case.  Most of their games were bought for them by someone else – my mom, our grandma, their girlfriends.  (My girlfriend doesn’t buy me games!  I guess it takes away from ‘us’ time…)

What can happen when you leave a game out of the case?  Well, it can:

  • get scratched all to hell
  • become unplayable or unreadable
  • certain parts of the game become unusable
  • the ps2 itself freaks and doesn’t play anything!

How painful is it to be running a 28/4 game of team deathmatch and watch your PS2 game terminate the session because the disc is unreadable!  That sucks, right?  It’s got to be one of the worst feelings in the world.

What I do is make sure to burn ps2 games – all of them – as soon as I open up the package.  The games I really like, I’ll make 3 or 4 backups!  If you’ve got irresponsible brothers or sisters, you need to backup ps2 games religiously.

Right after I got my ps2, backing up games was a pain.  I had to do a lot of research to get it right.  Plus special software was hard to find.  Let me tell you

, I made a lot of coasters in my day.  Lots of bad games were burned!

That’s ok though.  After almost a year I perfected the art.  A lot of it is attributed to this piece of backup software though.  It was a life saver.  No more bad discs and things to throw at my brothers.  I don’t know that Sadie liked it though.  We used to play catch in the backyard with the bad backed up games!

So anyway, if you want to backup PS2 games the right way, check out this software.  It’s awesome and I highly recommend it!

burn ps2 games

How to burn ps2 games easily

A story?  About how to burn PS2 games?  Really?

Well, yes.  Back when I was 13 I got my first Nintendo.  Playing Super Mario Bros. on the 21 inch color TV was cool.  Now, we’ve got LCD screens, 52 inch flat panels, and gaming systems that look so real that you can literally step through the TV.

It was so funny, the other day I was driving under an underpass and saw a guy looking down.  Immediately, my mind turned to the hours and hours of Call of Duty play and I thought about how bad of a sniping location that was…

You know what I mean, right?  When you see someone sniping from a rooftop and pick him off easily – only to see his respawned character run back to the same location!

Anyway, I was to show you how to burn ps2 games quickly and easily – saving you lots of money in the process.  Now, you can borrow your friends games or backup ps2 games of your own.

I know before I figured out how to do it, I had a shoebox full of games that were scratched and otherwise unplayable because my brother is such a slob and refuses to put them back in their case.  A backup copy would have been nice!

Probably cooler than that though, my friends and I were finally able to share games and I could just copy them and play them long after giving the original back..

So the next time your buddy buys the newest title, all you have to do is back it up and you can enjoy it too!  After all, in live play, you both need the games.  Why make everyone in your gaming party go out and buy it when a rip is just as good.

Anyway, stay tuned for more info on how to burn ps2 games.  It saved me lots and lots of money and I’m sure it will for you too!
